When people just make stuff up so obviously lol I don't see the point.... especially when it's faking knowledge on a subject. It's okay to not know! We don't all know the answers to everything.
I agree with this one too although I have come across some people who seem to do this just to get closer. I don't like it but I do understand a little why some do it.
Perhaps something closely related are the people who try to get to a position by almost any means, mostly deviously. That, I feel, is worse.

My son had two guys turn up for jobs at the tech company he worked at they had to be English/Dutch speakers.
He said the moment he clapped eyes on them he just knew they couldnt..

Anyway...today i am annoyed by my fat noisy neighbor and her fat noisy daughter.
Also annoyed by people who could be doing their job but instead choose to stand there at the steamtable and stir the food all through lunch. Yet at supper time can't get him to stir and everything dries out. *Growls*
In our depts, we called them paper carriers.
Always looking busy, never doing much.....
A friend of mine managed a clerical team, when one was off on long term sick, after a month, they realised no-one had been doing her job, and no-one noticed. So she binned her job description and wrote her a fresh one. There was never a complaint from anyone that anything had gone amiss from binning her old job.

Agree, some do it to form a bond.. thinking the person wants to hear the answer they give. I have set people up in the past by saying I loved a certain band, and they'd say they loved them, too.. and then I'd say I was just kidding lol because people used to lie about having the same interests as me, and I never liked it. You don't have to like everything I do, and we can still be friends regardless!! lol
Grr, yes, people who lie on their resumes and in job interviews! Making up experience and job titles to get ahead. My SO has a few people at his work who did this. One finally got caught after already working there for many months LOL they discovered he didn't know how to do much of anything he claimed, and that he embellished most of his prior work duties. Yikes.... why even do that? You can't pretend that well at work if people expect you to do certain tasks lol some things are not so easily learned without training or experience.

The thought of walking into my charity office job and not knowing what I am doing fills me with terror: I'd be quickly found out.
I do think lying on a resume is a waste of time: the person will soon be discovered. I know I have a LOT of office skills. In this regard:
1. I am an expert with a computer 2. I know how to file documents 3. I am able to use a photocopier 4. I know how to use a laminator 5. I know how to use a shredder 6. I am able to collect materials and put together information packs 7. I am able to collect the post 8. I am able to do other basic tasks to assist other workers
Now I have been doing the above for a long time, so I have those skills. I wouldn't last 5 minutes in an office without them.
I don't like TV shows where there is constant drama... drama for no reason.. just in there to be in there. It makes me lose interest.
tubi for me has fantastic 60's comedies some from 50's love those not focused on sex just pure fun. Im so tired of seeing t v commercials and shows sexed up about so many things.

I love TUBI tv and it's free. What more could you ask for.
Rant alert... Apart from the demon drivers for whom covid has meant that they have forgotten what a red traffic light means my major boiling point at the moment is pet owners.
I am a member of a dog forum but today I have logged out with those famous last words... I may be gone some time...
I simply cannot cope any longer with the amount of people who are lying and too cheap to look for veterinary help for their animals. Earlier this year one claiming to come from Dublin said all vets were closed and refusing to see animals,he said that was why he needed online advice from a forum about his dog who had a serious ...and I mean serious skin problem. Of course he was lying, I check the vets in Dublin they were open. I asked my son who lives in Dublin he told me the vet is open. I called the guy out on it told him he was lying and I got abused for it. This week there has been a graphic photograph of a female dog with what looks like pyometra it's oozing green pus and the person is saying how can I treat this dog at home?.. answer you can't your dog will die get to a vet. The second one has a dog with a jawline that looks like it's been chewed up and spat out by a crocodile.. How can I treat this at home? Answer you can't go to a vet. Third one a person with a dog with an ulcer or cyst that has burst and is draining pus and blood he says I can't get to a vet because its 6 hours drive away then he says the nearest vet won't see me because of the covid pandemic. Then he changes his story they want so much money I can't afford it how can I help my dog until my next pay check comes in. Answer. don't be cheap if this was your child you would not sit at home, go to a vet arrange a payment plan, beg steal or borrow the money.
Apparently that makes me mean short-tempered and rude. I think it makes me honest.
What others don't seem to realise is is by offering these sort of people advice via the internet it doesn't help the dog, all we do is help that person keep their wallet shut and deny the dog proper medical attention. I know vets are expensive which is why you either pay for insurance or you have a saving scheme that's part of being a responsible dog or cat owner... If we can't tell people honestly that they are being stupid and need to seek medical advice what good are we actually doing?
Think of it this way who would say to someone whose child had a broken leg or a ruptured cyst stick some hydrogen peroxide on it and pack it was cotton it will be fine... Of course we wouldn't so why would anyone think it's ok OK to say this because it's a dog?

That would upset me too much. You will never see me in a dog owners forum.

When shelters began emptying out, I was happy that all these pets were adopted last year. At the same time, I was concerned that they would be returned to the shelters once we got back to normal, whatever/whenever that may be. I hadn't considered that all these people may not be able to afford veterinary care!
Yes, it's sad how some people treat their pets so poorly or dispose of them so easily. I saw that a lot in military communities, especially when pet owners are presented with the cost of shipping their pets overseas.

Our dogs are heading for shelters. During lockdown the demand for dogs rose so high that puppies started off around £2,000, at which point everybody and their uncle discovered that good money could be made form puppies.
Now we are looking at inflation, which of course means that a lot of dogs are going to be abandoned.
We are seeing the problem here too. Puppies were being sold for absolutly silly prices the KK says a dog like Murphy with pedigree should cost no more than €800, online anything black and white was being passed off as a stabij and sold at €2000-€3,500 ..
But shelters are now seeing an influx of pandemic dogs and most have issues , theyve never learned to be alone , most are not socialised, of course much of this is because of the pandemic and not the dog or the owners fault but instead of looking for ways to train the dog or resolve the situation many are just getting rid.
As for vets ... Yes it makes me mad that many of the chain store types charge excatly what they know they can demand form insurence comapnies .. This pushes the price of insurence or for those without it makes a vet trip cost an arm and a leg. I have remained with a small country vet who treat both livestock and pets they are honest down to earth people and dont mind an informal paymanet plan if you need time. BUt I know Im very very lucky.. I also have a nice saving scheme set up for my dogs its an automatic direct debit into a bank account that I dont touch. I do think this is an imporant thing to consider when getting a pet. Even flea treatments can cost a bomb these days.
On the upside of all this misery.. If the shelters are full and the puppy farmer now have no clients.. A/ less badly bred dogs B/ the prolific dognappers wont have a market for all the dogs they keep pinching. So maybe they will crawl back under whatever rock they came from.
what's been annoying me lately is all the spam I have been getting asking me to send money to uganda. don't people have better things to do with themselves?
