Tell Us About Your Day

I had a busy day yesterday as we wnet down to Rugby to see my grandaughters. It is the youngest's birthday tomorrow. She will be two. I got very tired and I don't think Saturday's exertions helped much but it was a lovely visit and many family members were present. Both sets of granparents as well as her great grandmother.

It's a holiday today but I have no plans. It's going to be a do whatever I feel like kind of a day.

We went to a museum today then have dinner out. We will go home tomorrow and plan for our next trip coming in 6 weeks.

It's back to work today after the long weekend.

Ive been putting up the scaffolding ( with OH) for our new windows that arrive next week before they cme we want to sort out some woodwork and plates above the windows that need attention.

First day of school, no pictures taken yet. Mostly have my mind occupied with plans for a road trip tomorrow!

Got out of town on Wednesday, about 4 hours away by car! (Well, 3 to 3.5 for fast drivers, including folks who make the drive often and are super familiar with the highways. I am not a fast driver, plus I like "nature breaks" at rest stops.)

Would have loved to have a paid driver so I could just relax and enjoy the ride... Maybe next time?

First destination in the city was the big mall. We visited a video-game store (game-related merch for a bunch of the displays) and a bookstore, then got time at our hotel's outdoor pool plus hot tub. That's enough excitement for me today...

We had our usual art group meeting yesterday. We didn't really do a great deal but it was good to get together

And a good book it was too!

I got laundry done today from our trip, plus garbage and recycling out.

I also acted as scribe for the oldest at one point, and all three kiddos were present for the AI Tools mini-course for the middle guy. (The school wants to make sure students use AI responsibly, so the teachers don't have to ban it outright and face problems tracking who's cheating and how... Better to provide study tools and oversight!)

I had plans to accomplish a bit more with our Friday, but we had some drama going on that kept us busy. (See my diary for more info.)

And now, I'm watching coverage of Starliner's re-entry!

Yesterday I went to a local wildlife park. Although I wonder at times the animals did mostly seem contented. I did see several of the big cats gnawing on their bones. When I thought about it, it's interesting that they looked more like dogs with their bones rather than domestic cats.

It was a lovely day and I enjoyed the visit. It was fairly quiet now most children are back in school.

We ended up going to our friends for awhile today and we all went out for lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant.

I've had an early start: including having my morning shower. I am listening to the radio and am browsing online.
