In the name of religion?

Those that are guilty of committing such acts have their own perverted beliefs.

Their God is false.

That's why I created my own religion. I'm a Godian.

My point is not to debate the existence of God or the labeling of any religion as “right”. My point is that we have relatively recent examples of the horrors that can happen when civilized nations ignore or attempt to legitimize death cults such as Iran and other associated Islamic Jihadists. I see virtually no difference between (WWII) Hitler’s Nazi Germany, Japan’s samurai Bushido code and Iran’s ayatollah.

Iran must not be allowed to have a nuclear weapon it is a threat to Israel, the USA and Western civilization. Perhaps my views do not fit the this “religion” thread, oops.

The statement made that the God if Islam is false has still not been answered...
The fact is that Islam along with The Jews and the Christians have their roots in the same Abrahamic base.By decrying the god of Islam to be false you cast doubt on that of the Christians and the Jews.

Your comparison with Hitler holds no water as pointed out by Cherry.


As for being a godian

*Godianism does not look down upon or despise another religion, nor does it use force or coercion to impose its belief on others. Maybe you need to spend some time studying your own religious doctrine before condemming others..

Yet again religious discussion with those who believe but have no proper depth of understanding shows how easily led people are.

Within every religion there are bad people as well as good people. As a Godian, I try to treat people nicely. I've known Muslims, Buddhists, Jews, and Christians. Those that I've known have been very nice; my intent was not to trash other religions. What I was trying to say was that their God isn't false; it was some misguided individuals within their religions. I believe that it's a small %age that create a negative image for the majority.

Depending on the person, I think it does have something to do with having differing beliefs and ways of life. Some people are completely against anyone else living their life or practicing a different religion than them, and they will go about demonstrating this in various ways. Some much more extreme and filled with hatred than others, of course...

IMO it is all about interpretation.

Look at the christian bible as a for instance.

If you read one line it says, kill people who disbelieve. The next will say that vengeance is only for god to take.

I expect the islamics are no better than us at choosing the line that suits them best, especially the nutters amongst them [excuse the technical terms].

After all, are we really turning the other cheek?

The only difference between us and them, is that our nutters are not [currently] on a world crusade.
