It's a coincidence that you posted that Annie. I just returned from grocery shopping. On the walk in the store, I saw a man with a cart stopped in the right-middle of the road, looking at his phone. On the walk out, I saw a woman engrossed in her phone nearly trip over the curb separating the parking row from the street.

It has never ocurred to me to take my work phone on holiday with me. I would guess, if I am not working, I probably look at it less than 3 or 4 times a week.

When cell phones first came out, they were obvious "bricks" used as a status symbol, as in "I'm sooooo important that I gotta carry this to be reached, day or night." All people/companies get from me is my landline. Very few have my cell number. For TFA, I either use a freemail account or my YubiKey.
Our landline is probably the most used. I am probably unusual in that I don't like phones so avoid them as far as possible. I do lots of things online though. Maybe I just jumped the phone stage?
