I have had no time to read my library book and it's a pain. There is just zero time.
Don't worry, the time will appear in your schedule again. Maybe you want to adopt the Icelandic tradition of Christmas Eve reading!
I have several library books to get to, but there will be more time once school is done for the month. (Last day is the 15th, woo hoo!) Sometimes, I pick what looks great in the library, then open them at home to discover they're not. Ah well, that will release me to read more of my own books!
I'm borrowing a Kindle ebook from the Hope Springs series by Valerie M. Bodden. Pretty good so far! It's Book 10, but I didn't take the time to reread the whole series to refresh my memory on the characters - instead, I read Book 1 and decided that was probably good enough for a quick refresher!
Don't worry, the time will appear in your schedule again.
Thank you, Rebecca Jo: there will be time eventually to do my reading. It is just annoying that I am constantly on the move, always having to do something else instead! I have commitments and reading comes second. However, you ARE right and I do agree with you.

And I finished reading my library book today!
I turned off the computer and stayed on my sofa and just read. It took a few hours but I enjoyed the story and would read "Who Is Tom Ditto?" again.
If you liked the tv series, you will enjoy the book.
I've never watched "Game Of Thrones" but am interested in the book: this is because I'd choose reading a book over watching a film.
Anyhow, I'll check out my local library.
The tv prog was a very close match to the book. But with the book, you don't have to look away. So, if you read the books, you will know just what everybody is talking about.
The books are not called Game of Thrones. They are called Ice and Fire. I have just finished A Storm of Swords
In what order should I read Game of Thrones books?
A Song of Ice and Fire books in chronological order of Westeros history
I am reading "Rouge" by Mona Awad. It is pretty good.
I finished reading this novel last night: it was brilliant. I'd give it 10/10. It was extremely well written and highly creative. There is a dream scene in it: and there is a supernatural based theme to it. Totally brilliant and I'd advise you guys read it.
I didn't get any books for Christmas this year but I do have my reading pile. I have a couple to return to the book exchange so I hope to get there in the next couple of days to see if anyone has put their old ones in over Christmas.

I have several books out from the library, especially since they had a display of Christmas books. I find interesting titles with their displays that I wouldn't have noticed otherwise. One is The Christmas Star by Donna Vanliere and I've read a previous one with most of the characters, so it's like a family/friend visit at Christmastime. There are also a few graphic novels and a bunch of Doctor Who books to try - the oldest kiddo is really interested in the Whoniverse!
I also have a stack of print books that were discards from the library, and one added to that pile that I actually bought new! (Gasp! Hee hee.) No lack of reading material, just less time than I'd like to read...

Good luck!
No joy at the book exchange. I think that whoever organises it must have taken some out to leave room for the Christmas rush of new ones and it didn't happen. I found out recently though that there is, what is usually a large secondhand charity book sale, coming up in the next couple of months. It is something for me to look forward to
I remember that line, and only that line, from the film. I think it was alays on the telly when I was a kid....
Yes. I remember that too. I am not sure it is in the modern version of the film though. A theatre audience where someone on stage gets shot? I did notice, a few minutes ago when I was sorting a link to "Talking Pictures TV" for information to answer a query from Karen that the film you refer to is on that channel today at 18:30, according to their schedule.

It was a funny concept that a man would earn a living by answering any question on a stage, and people would pay to see him doing that. Nowadays we have gadgets in our bags that do the same job.

I am reading Pushkin's fairy tales: it was a Christmas present from my brother's girlfriend.
Pushkin was a Russian author and poet in the 1700's/1800's. He is known as the Russian version of Shakespeare. I can see why too: his work is incredible.
Question has anyone read any of the murder club books by Richard Osman? Im trying to help OH with choosing an aniversary gift and Ive seen these books around Im thinking that might be a nice gift but are they any good?

I started one but gave it up. I found it pretty much as he is on the TV, although it was a while back so I cannot remember any detail. It just seemed a little tedious / boring for my taste. I had a plan to look again after he had written a few more to see if his writing developed.

I read one. It was a gift from my daughter as she loved it. I didn't really get it, though we often share taste in books.
