Yeah, yeah. Why wouldn't this guy be recording the feeds then? He claims they always take it offline when a UFO comes by, and he has witnessed it before, yet he only takes screenshots? lol

My Dad is convinced that he and his crew saw a UFO. He said no object from our planet could hover directly in front of his plane and then be gone in a blink of the eye! Of course it could have been Kirk, Spock and the other lads from the Enterprise just having a bit of fun.

I don't believe or disbelieve. I'm open minded to aliens only because of how vast the universe is, and I'm open minded to their being intelligent life only because we exist. I can imagine there are other lifeforms that have similar capabilities as us somewhere out there, but I won't say that is the case without proof.
I would love for us to find "aliens"... that would be really cool. As long as they are friendly ;-)

I believe in aliens and I also believe that they are much more advanced than we are. If they really wanted to destroy this planet they could have done that centuries ago!
Friendly as in... they don't want to kill us, eat us, or destroy us like we write about in movies. Those would be very big deal-breakers on whether I would be happy about their visiting!

I'm open-minded to other lifeforms existing in our universe. In fact, there HAS to be, as big as it is. They just might not be the ones we imagine. They could be simple single-celled organisms, it is still life. It's just not the kind of lifeform that people get all excited for.

The thing is, that if there is one thing that we will share in common with aliens, it is the ability to survive.
There is not one animal on the planet, that has not survived by being the strongest.
Thus what we are hoping for is that the strongest aliens survived, and then became benevolent dictators, that insisted that their planet become friendly to each other.
The whole point of human existence is to "make a profit, one way or another".
We visit planets because of our quest for knowledge, and aliens could do the same, no? What we require to survive could be completely different than what they require. They might actually coexist with their planet and all creatures on it. That is a side that humans possess, but as a whole we are not like that. We could be benevolent, but we choose not to be. Perhaps somewhere out there, aliens chose to be everything we had the potential to become.
I am not expecting anything, I just hope it to be the case. Just like I would hope we wouldn't go to another planet and kill the inhabitants, but I already know what humans are capable of. We have no idea what aliens could be like, and I hope they aren't entirely like humans.

Great cartoon.
Arguably America is the most advanced and civilised country in the world, so the closest to "the ideal" if we are still progressing in our manner of evolution by common consent. I say evolution by common consent as obviously we can no longer progress by natural evolution as we have too much medical knowledge and skill.
But, and here's the rub, America is full of guns, and idiots hell bent on keeping them "Just in case."
I apreciate their reasoning for doing so, btw, but friendly, sociable and warm, it really is not.
Other than that, I am just a cynic.

I love cynicism; it can actually be a positive force. I'm cynical when it comes to the colonies over here. I've said in the past that the U.S. is the most uncivilised civilised country in the world, and I still believe that.
With all of the stories of UFOs over the years, there HAS to be more going on than what we are led to believe. Not everyone is lying. Plus, there are other weird occurrences over time. I think I read somewhere that the Mayans had drawings of airplanes and of what looked like "aliens" landing. After the whole Roswell incident all of the sudden we had this crazy technology.
I figure it is one of two things. The first is that we are, in fact, in contact with aliens and they share their technologies with us. Why we are not under attack... who knows. But it could be possible they are living among us with some sort of way to disguise themselves as human and live among us. Or maybe they ARE human. Who knows.
Another theory is time travel. Perhaps it is just us from the future visiting our past selves and giving us technology.
Or maybe it's nothing. You never know. I think it is something.
As for intelligent life in the universe, I think there most definitely is. Some theorists suggest that intelligent life such as ours is either extremely rare, or when it does happen like ours does we end up killing ourselves. I disagree because they are basing it on our own human tendencies.
On our planet, survival of the fittest works. But, that is also a part of our genetic make-up. Some say that it is necessary for a species to survive, but what if it isn't, and the reality is that peaceful civilizations make it further? If this is the case, then it would make sense that other intelligent life hasn't contacted us-why would they? If they contacted us and shared too much information with us, we would use it against them because we are naturally destructive. So, intelligent species just wants to leave us alone.
Another argument against intelligent life is that they would have contacted us by now, but my first argument is one reason why they wouldn't. Also, the universe is HUGE. Even if these beings have perfected intergalactic travel, who is to say they found us? I mean, we are not even comparable to the smallest island on earth, so it's possible that they haven't even found us.
As for the UFO in the ISS? Yeah, it probably was a weather balloon.

I recently saw a television show that supports what Suzy said about us actually sharing technology with aliens. The show hypothesized that there was a network of secret underground tunnels in the US where American scientists and the CIA (of course) would meet with aliens. Nothing is out of the realm of possibility.
