I couldn't decide where to post this, but this would be cool.
Funny, just the other day I was wondering why they didn't grind up all the plastic, and mix it in with tarmac. That way it wouldn't matter which plastics were used.
I'm sure we'll come up with more uses for everything one day.... lol instead of just letting things sit in landfills until they are as tall as mountains.
When it comes to recyling we have both summer and winter wellingtons made by Dunlop who use recyled pvc to manufacture the boots..
I think Hunter also had a similar scheme and I think several firms in Canada do it too. So dont just go for price or fashion.. Think recycle..
Havs anyone seen a hot asphalt recycling machine at work? Basically a machine in front goes along like a demonic grass mower and chews off the road surface chucking it out the back of its convyerbelt in chips, the machine behind takes the chilps melts them and lays a new road surface.. Its quick efficient and is reusing the original surface...

Fact is that when we make gravel out of rocks, we are not 'growing' fresh rocks.

True but by reusing the rocks we have we dont take any more out of the ground
The air in Earth's atmosphere is made up of approximately 78 percent nitrogen and 21 percent oxygen. Air also has small amounts of lots of other gases, too, such as carbon dioxide, neon, and hydrogen.
