I think some places don't allow liqueur to be purchased on Sundays.. and some (more religious) places close on Sundays lol but that's all by choice. EX: Chik-fil-A is not open on Sundays.
All of our 24/7 stores are open on Sunday still.
This surprises me. I do believe we have people here who want to move toward enacting Sunday laws.. we're moving in opposite directions ;p
I wouldn't know about them =p But like I said, it's all by choice.. but I bet they have stores that don't even open on Sunday. I'd hate to live in an area like that! lol
Oh wow... I don't think I ever had anything like that growing up. But I'm really not sure how things used to be before then.. say, when my grandparents were kids? I can imagine things like that around that time, but we still may not have had anything like that going on lol

Well Chik-fil-A is one of my favorite fast foods. I often go to our shopping mall on Sunday but I pass up the food court since Chik is closed. Bummer! But the church does have Friday night's fish fry. That's a plus during Lent.
Sadly the laws in NL are now relaxed to allow Sunday trading.
I hate it with a passion. Im not religious but I just think one day a week without shopping is not too much to ask. Having worked in retail I know the last job I applied for I didnt get because I said I didnt want to work on Sunday.
Well why should I? If my OH worked he would have only Saturaday and Sunday free I should give up my family day so that people can buy yet more goods they dont really need?
Let me ask everyone honestly.. Since shops opened 24/7 have you had more money to spend in them ? .. I know I dont. I have an income and it makes no difference if shops are open 20 or 120 hours my budget is the same.
Everyone works different days and shifts. My mom can only go shopping on Sundays, even for groceries. She works six days a week and gets home late.
Recently, my 24 hour pharmacy changed its hours. And now I have not been able to pick up my medications for nearly a week. They close earlier than I am usually able to go to them now, and it really has messed things up for me. I have to plan in advance now instead of being able to go whenever I had the time.

Here it depends upon which stores choose to open, but I don't believe that any liquor can be sold on Sunday. And Peace Be With You, my Catholic friend, Pris.
