So far just been sitting around waiting to see the Dr. I'm trying out my Uber app for the first time. Should be interesting. I won't have to have cash cuz I can pay with my PayPal which is nice. I reserved a ride for 1:30 and got my drivers name. I guess shortly before they arrive I will get a notification of their info and stuff so I can make sure I'm getting into the right vehicle.
Family isn't always blood. It's the people in your life who want you in theirs. The ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile, and who love you no matter what.

We used an Uber in Malta last year. They all drive like loonies. We drove back to the airport at 130kph. They really don't care....

Thankfully we don't have that issue here.

Yesterday afternoon was a bit busy as I had to make up lots of hydroponic nutrients. Hot sunny weather may work well for plant growth but they drink like mad. They get it good, lounging in the sun with a ready supply of nutricious liquids lol.
In the morning I went for my usual walk. I wanted to get out early so that I would meet a few dog walkers and their dogs but I was later when it was too hot for the walkers so saw few people. There doesn't seem to be many people out round the countryside at all these days but there must be at times as the tracks are well trodden.
I did get some artwork done later but the heat is perhaps slowing me down. At least the washing pile goes quickly as washed clothes dry well

I have finished my work for the day so I am now preparing our evening meal ready for Sophia getting home.
We are having turkey slices with boiled potatoes and a side salad.
I am keeping a close check on our horses during the day due too whilst we are experiencing these higher temperatures.
They have the shade of the stable from the sun, and I am making sure they are well hydrated with plenty of fresh water available in the troughs in the stable and in the pasture.
The pasture has a few large trees too which gives them shade when we release them outside for a while.
We don't go riding in the full sun during the daytime. Apart from avoiding the intense sun, we both work Monday to Friday anyway, so have to wait until the evening when more time allows and the intense heat of the sun is dissipating.

LOL @ Candy and her spiders. I don't see too many anymore. I use those plug in bug repellents. No buggies here hardly. Except for the summertime gnats. Pain is much better today. Boy 10 mg of Diazepam sure put me down in an hour last night. I wandered into the bathroom higher than a kite to pee before bed. Sitting there hoping I didn't fall asleep on the toilet. LMAO
We'll see how work goes today. Hope you guys have a good one!

I hate to say it but they might be too young for that reference!
I posted a photo of George among the daisy's with the caption 'please please dont eat the daisies' and was told it was too vintage to have meaning
I just looked up the phrase about Pike - "Dad's Army" TV series. Sorry, not familiar with it
Lol I thought as much. Its a sign of aging, they used to say as you get older policemen get younger and younger but its also your terms of reference. When people used to say to me ' you havent change a bit ' I used to quip.. ahh but theres a painting of me in the attic.... Clear reference to the picture of Dorian Grey.. That used to be a common reference but not anymore. So I stopped using it.
Similarly the daisies, a Doris Day film by the same name Please dont eat the dasies, ( ) but as its a 1960 film I guess it is ancient by modern standards.
My granddaughter says stuff now and I have no idea whats shes on about.. OH came to me and asked who is Billy Eyelash? She meant Billie Eilish..!
I had a day which started out quiet and normal but by the time I arrived home was getting a bit fraut. I moved some things around in the garage before I put the car back and, the way things are a bit jammed in the garage, it too a bit more sorting than I thought
I was s looking forward to the Presidential debate tonight but Biden looked like a deer in the headlight and he let Trump go on with the lied and the nonsense. If this happens again in the next debate in September, Trump will have a good chance to win.
