I went and got my flu and covid shots today. How did everyone else fair? My arm is hurting and I don't feel well at all.
I was fine. My arm ached a little from one of the jabs, but that was about it.
At least you know it's done for another year.
I guess at least one of the shots didn't agree with me at all. I am not better this morning and I think actually a little worse. Beside my arm being sore I have a slight fever, achey all over, a dull headache and am a bit nauseous. Going to stay home today, not up For going to work at all. But like you said, at least I am all set for another year.

I finished planning for our retirement 30 minutes ago, down to inflation, tax payment, market fluctuation.... I will have lunch with someone then when I go home, I will talk to the realtors again, the houses they sent me are not up to my expectation.

That's how I felt after this year's shot, much worse than any of the previous years.
I am avoiding the town like the plague today. St Nicolaas arrives by boat today then he will be led on horseback through the packed streets and met by the mayor at the twnhall who will offically welcome the Saint into the country. . Theres one offical place but every town does their own arrival and the kids (who am I kidding adults too) will be going mad..

Respect.
I just 'presumed' I will be fine financially, as I am an optimist.
Feeling better today so we are going to Melbourne, a costal community, and going to the antique shops there. I am on my yearly trip to find old time Christmas decorations.
It's a quiet day with me. I was busy yesterday with mowing the lawn and picking, what I imagine will be, the last of the outside peppers and tomatoes. The washing basket is fairly light too but I imagine that will change

I do enjoy antique and vintage shops, but I do prefer the same in markets.

We don't mind paying a little more for the right house. So our requirements are:
- 4-5 bedrooms or 4 with an office -no attic or basement to be used as living space. accessible by maintenance people only -preferably one level but if 2 levels, at least one master suite on the first level - two master suites - 3.5 batrooms at least but preferably 4-4.5 -must have fireplaces in the living room and family room - 3-4 car garage - lot size at least 10K sft but no more than 15K sft - kitchen island must be at least 86 ft long by 42 ft wide - no existing jacuzzi tub in any bathroom
I don't care about the paint color or the floor or the cabinet because I can redo all of them as well as rebuild the backyard and front yard landscape.

That sounds impressive, but maybe a little optimistic on the size of the island. The only thing that surprised me was that you had a maximum size for the garden. If you got more than you needed, you could let some grow wild. We have done that with a large segment. It's all wooded anyway, so unless we cut the trees down, it wouldn't support much. Currently other than the trees, it is heavy with bluebells.
I am the same with toilets/bathrooms. Once you have discovered multiples, you never want to go back to just one.

I enjoy house hunting, the so is a lot less keen.
Most of my houses had island between 82-96, this is one of them, 96-52. My current house has a 72-36 which I think a little smaller than I want. When my sisters and girlfriends come over, we usually eat in the kitchen and use the kitchen island as the buffet table. All the drink mixings also happen on the island too so I need space. I can change the island size but the base must be strong and big enough to accommodate the size I need.
About the yard space, I am a neat freak . I like to see every corner of my house, in and out to look complete and organized. My current house's lot size has a 12kSFT but no pool so with a pool and a small pool house, I think 15K sft will do. We are thinking about a small pool again. In the areas I consider for my next house, I think land is not cheap so I am avoiding paying for unused land.

I like house hunting but it can be exhausting.
That does look special, and even though it is the crack of dawn, that food is making me hungry.
I did forget you were a neat freak.
It's who you are, and you are entitled to choose what suits you best. Could this be your last home?

Definitely Cherry, this will be our last move. I doubt if I will have energy to do this again.
Quite good yesterday as I got out and about before the snow which came overnight. This morning it is either thawing fast or a fine drizzle. Either will make it damp and slushy out.
