I like the Pogues Fairytale of New York. I like that its not the surgary sweet of many songs but the story of a relationship across the years. The hopes, the dreams, the ups and downs of love.

Hearing Noddy Holder's voice with 'It's Christmas!' does grate a bit after a while.

If you have time, check out Metro's 11 Days of Christmas on YouTube, since you can't come to my house for the vinyl experience.

Picture as you listen that my dad and his girls are laughing it up with this comedic album and Mum is peeved that Christmas is treated too irreverently... Maybe Nana Mouskouri balanced that out? (Also have that in vinyl!)
