Lipstick is definitely part of my daily routine also.

Onto foundation:

With foundation, I have been advised to mix a blob of moisturiser into foundation and then apply it to my face. I hadn't considered doing this. Because some foundations are too heavy and streak instead of blending into the skin.

I shall do this.

Something for every occasion. I love it.

You mean I am not the only one that has those...

With me, most of mine are reds. I do have others but I rarely if at all wear them. Now, I have no idea why I even bought a lot of them.

Jen, it must be the artist in you. I am not sure how good I would be at doing that.

Maybe I will give it a try when I have a little extra time. 

That sounds interesting, but I lack the confidence to do that.

Makeup does take artistry: after all makeup is paint for the face.

I am a bit boring. If it works, I tend to stick to it. Most of my stuff is the same as I have been using since I left my ex.

Makeup looks gorgeous!

I have to be really careful with anything I put on my skin from hand cream to cleaning fluid.

My shampoo is for sensitive skin and is a German brand.
The same goes for the soap that I use on my body. I don't use shower gels because they are wasteful many contain plastics and of course they come in plastic bottles. All of which adds to the Environmental Waste pile.
My face cream is another German brand but at least factor 30 in the summer and factor 20 in the winter.
Protection from the sun and it's ageing effect means more to me than the brand name.

I no longer wear makeup of any kind I've had too many allergic reactions it's just not worth it so people can either take me or leave me. I'm not painting my face for anyone else's satisfaction.

My deodorant is a solid bar a biological, no aluminium salts type , it smells slightly floral and does its job that's much more important than fancy packaging.

I'm not a very good candidate when it comes to talking about beauty products because for me it's about simplicity.
