Sure. Maybe it already has in a way for some people who are addicted to having relationships with AI.... and in the future, who knows what AI will be capable of.
A friend of mine was in a rough area of manchester. She went into a local shop, and saw grown men just holding out their hands full of money, so the shopkeeper could take what they owed. They couldn't do the most basic counting.

I have come across that before but usually only with older people, which I might have expected. It does make me wonder though.

LOL my daughter got an F for using AI to write a paper for her in English class. I thought the teacher was joking that this was a thing. She's usually a good girl too, mostly a's and b's, but she's getting lazy. Guess she'll have to rewrite it

It's popular right now lol I'm surprised she already got caught. Although, I suppose if they are used to a certain writing style from someone and it sounds completely unlike them, then it makes it easier to spot something is amiss, and that is the most likely reason at the moment.

Yeah, it's been going around. I kind of don't blame her.

If there is a short cut kids will find it lol.
I am in two minds about this kind of thing. I sometimes did not see eye to eye with the boss at work over similar things as I always worked to get the job done. If that meant it was easier to use better skills from someone else who had time then that was the way I went but the boss often wanted me to work my way through from first principles. I could see his point but as we were always stressed and overworked we didn't have the time.
The point I am maybe highlighting here is that we are pushed into the computer age and using machine shortcuts. It seems kinda strange at times that they are off limits and bad when used for shortcutting other things. We cannot be too harsh on our children for using their aptitude for getting faster solutions for the problems they have. It's just another area in which the limits should be clearly identified.

There is also Grammarly. I don't use it myself but have seen it advertised. However, it doesn't write FOR someone:: the person does still need skills in English to write using it. I am fortunate to know my English - so can use Grammarly - but I am educated.

Believe me, I wasn't mad at her. Her teacher allowed her to rewrite the essay anyway, thank goodness. We had a chat and she seems to get it, she's mostly an A and B student.
