So everyone, I'm a huge music fan, but I suck at naming artists and songs. And I don't feel I have enough time to search for the good stuff like I did when I was younger.

Can you name your top five artists? (or if you like, your top five songs but from five different artists)

I'm like you. i love music but have trouble naming most songs and even artist.

But a few of my favorites are Queen, T.Rex, The Platters, and just about everything from the 50s to early 60s. Thats part is due to my dad. Basically I like all kinds.

I lived near the place Marc Bolan died. I remember walking past the day after. Police had roped off the area and some people had left flowers, I think that must have been the first time I'd ever seen that happen.

I am much the same, so I looked at my history, and see these are the five I have played most of the last two weeks.

Ask me again in a fortnight, and I expect 2-3 of those will have moved on....

cassie, that was why I also wrote that you can name five songs instead cause I have trouble naming favourite artists for the same reason. I think one needs to have superpowers to be able to make only good songs. And some people has an amazing voice but make uninteresting music with the exception of maybe one or two songs. I prefer having mix playlists on Spotify instead of listening to the same artist, but again with some exceptions and often depending on my mood.

If anyone else wants to join in on this and name your favourite artists or songs, then please do! I am constantly looking for new music (and here I can get some tips), and I think it's exciting to see the different taste in music that people have

I forgot to answer my own question! Seeing I have the same «problem» as Cassie, I don’t really have favourite artists. The artists I tend to listen to a lot these days are Norwegian female artists, maybe not known to you guys. But basically my taste is really varied. I like anything from oldies, to Muse/Placebo, to classical music, to worldknown pop artists and unknown artists. Here are some tips on the well-known female artists from Norway that I feel is obligatory to mention for you guys:

Highasakite
Emilie Nicholas (half French – half Norwegian)
Skaar
Sigrid
Aurora
