Crochet hobby

I have never tried crochet although did try knitting when I was young. Mum Knitted many of our clothes and she eventually went on to cross stitch, of which I have several framed examples of her work. I much prefer sewing and, apart from modifying clothes, do make some clothes and furnishings, bags etc.

My sons partner crochets all sorts of things little flowers and animals as well as hats and other stuff.. I tried once it was a hot mess of knots..

I do like this idea though a bit like the happy stones its intended to spread a little joy, called random acts of chrochet kindness

I have never tried crocheting or knitting but I would think it would be very relaxing. Embroidery I do but mostly by machine. I know that is cheating but I still enjoy it.

I can crochet and knit with just my fingers. Should learn to use the crochet hook and the knitting needles next!

I learned to spool knit when I was young, and cross-stitch came along around my teens.

Fingers are so passe. 

I cannot knit. I tried once. It was a disaster.

I would love to make worry worms but the people I would want to give them to are those gruff kind that always say "I don't give a sh*t about anything."

I got 3 squares crocheted last night. The skeins of yarn are about the length of my hand. It's hilarious. They looked bigger in the picture.
