“Mom and pop” (small companies) are good. I think most of us would agree. But why is it when private companies grow and become large conglomerates liberals suspect them as now more likely to engage with evil intent?

But as the Federal government similarly gets larger and larger liberal's mistrust never seems to grow?

To me, I somewhat agree with liberals. As a bureaucracy grows, as money and power grow, the likelihood of inappropriate behavior does become more likely.

But where I disagree with liberals is that they never question the biggest bureaucracy in the USA, the Federal Government.

I don't know any liberals who think the government isn't corrupt.

But it's true... it's usually one person (or a handful) behind all the big companies. They are the ones who push to make all the big decisions for us, and they are the ones who pay the politicians.

We need the money of these large companies out of politics, that is what I think. No more paying off our politicians! No more letting greedy companies control our government officials.

Heather, what about the unions? I think they can be corrupt as any corporation. Should they be allowed to donate to politicians?

I think the public just needs to know where and from whom politicians receive money. And that is why Hillary's email scandal is so terrible.

And Pris . . . I'm liking our Republican governor more and more!

Perhaps we should have a system more like the UK has. I'll defer to Cher; she knows more about it than I do.

All politicians should be paid from the state purse, all parties should be funded by the state purse.

How that would work, I have no idea, but it might make politicians honest

As a political force the Royal family have not very much to say.

The aristocracy is in parliaments "second house" the house of Lords. This house is made up of lords, ladies, knights bishops etc

Some of these guys are hereditary peers, so inbreeding has always been a bit of a problem. But because your family were popular with the royal family in the 16th century, is that qualification that 500 years later, you should be helping to run the country?

Mostly we laugh our socks off about it.
