Dante's Inferno ignited the imagination of millions with his horrific description of hell that he personally experienced.

Most Christians were taught that hell meant no entry to heaven, or life in some in between place known as purgatory.

So please enlighten us all with your own beliefs.

Good point, Cher. As a Godian, I would hope that there is a Heaven. That being the case, I suppose that I believe in Hell also. But with so many descriptions about it, I'm confused. There is "hot as Hell", "cold as Hell", "windy as Hell", etc. Doesn't sound like a very nice place, though.

and, of course, that god is a reasonable person, and lets in people suffering with religious dyslexia.

It's a nasty condition you know. I need lots of sympathy.

I have had this conversation with my Christian and Jewish friends.

Most Christians believe in some eternal afterlife, a heaven, where there is nothing but love for one another.

Hell seems to be far less defined.

My Jewish friends are a little less definitive.

Agnosticism is rampant within them, other than the orthodox.

We have but one very close Arab friend who is a non Muslim.

So, his book remains closed for now.

The fact that he is married to a Jewish woman only complicates things.

Texas

Arizona

do come to mind.

I have often pondered on how heaven must be, for the non standards.

Guy loves wife, wife hates guy, leaves and finds new great guy.

1st guy mourns lost wife till he dies.

Does he get to see them happy in heaven together?

Sure as hell, that is not gonna make his day.
