If a technology developed that you could transfer your soul/spirit/consciousness/ (whatever you want to call it) into an android would you?
Assume for the purpose of this question, the android is fairly simplistic but sturdy and would last for hundreds of years. But you would only have the senses of sight and hearing. (The rest do not work within the android).
It might be okay. Could be interesting, but only if all my friends and loved ones could do the same. I'd hate to live forever with the knowledge that everyone else is long gone.
Unless... do we lose all memories? Are we able to create new memories? Or are we just in this constant state of awareness with no ability to retain anything?

Its your mind (soul etc) within a machine. Just like you are now. You still retain and learn, grow (mentally) etc.
