Yep. I remember one on the Discovery channel (or something similar) years ago, they used all the technology they had at their disposal to see if any large creatures were living in those waters, and they came up empty-handed.

Well, we still have a few prehistoric little monsters floating around in our oceans, but they are small in numbers and usually dying when we do find them alive.

Frilled shark still comes to mind... the one that died when they caught it to learn more about it =/

You've never seen one in person!? We have them viewable (and sometimes pettable) in science museums in the US. You should look into museums that might have them not far from you, hopefully there is something.

Otherwise, come to the US, where we have horseshoe crabs for you to stare at in many locations ;-)

Platypus... they are so cute. If you look closely at all animals, then you will realize they are ALL weird looking lol look at elephants, giraffes, anteaters, and sloths as some examples. We may be used to them all because we see them a lot, but they sure are odd looking creatures. Even humans are pretty weird looking, especially without eyebrows LOL

When I was in Australia during Uni, an Aussie friend and I were watching American TV and she pointed to the screen. She said "That animal is so cute; what do you call it?" I said that it was a squirrel. LOL!

Do we take squirrels for granted? lol I think they are cute, and I have fed squirrels plenty of times. You know, ones who are used to being around humans, such as the ones you find in parks or on a college campus.

Story time!

One time I was sitting on a bench at my college campus, eating some salt and vinegar chips, and this squirrel came over to me and was just staring at me. I decided to hold out a chip, and it grabbed it from my hand, jumped onto my foot, and began to nibble away at the chip lol
