What are you reading?

I shall be reading the NEW issue of "Good Housekeeping" magazine: hopefully later today.

I received the NEW issue of "Woman & Home" magazine in the post today: I am looking forward to reading it!

I read the NEW issue of "Woman & Home" this morning. It is a rather excellent magazine and thoroughly enjoyable to read. I read it every month like clockwork. I used to read many more magazines too: I am a bit of a magazine junkie. Ever since those first issues of Just 17 I've been addicted.

I haven't been reading much at all lately. No particular reason but I just goy away from it. Maybe it's time to return.

I left a Star Trek graphic novel (omnibus, even!) till the end of the usual library loan period, so now I'm digging into it and my Star Trek Explorer magazine will have to wait. I've given the magazine a quick flip-through, though, just to get a peek at the contents.

I've been re-reading part of a series by Valerie Comer that is set in Spokane, WA. It's great to revisit these stories while I wait for her newest book to release tomorrow (and then again after that one is consumed/devoured!). Much slower with non-fiction picks, but I'll get there eventually.

I am reading a good novel set in Liverpool about a young girl in the early 1900's. She comes from an orphanage and is taken to a rich woman's house, where she learns many things. I haven't gotten to the section where she is a woman yet, though.

It is a good book and I am enjoying reading it.

Ive got a Karen Slaughter book on the go. But Im finding it hard going as the small print swims a bit..
Hopefully my new glasses wont be much longer.

I just pick up second hand books or use the mini community libraries, once my new glasses arrive small print won't be a problem..

I have to do a DEI training so that's what I have been reading.

I have just finished the first book in the 'Inspector Morse' series by Colin Dexter. "Last Bus to Woodstock". It's not the first time I have read it and I do know the story fairly well but I enjoyed reading it again. It was written in 1975, and it does show in the written style. I do like this as it all adds to the feeling of the book.

I am reading "Leech" by Hiron Ennes.

My brother got it for me for Christmas. I have to say it's one weird story.

I tried the first Miss Fisher's Mysteries book this morning and wasn't hooked in the first two chapters. I'll try the show next and see if that gets me. I could always go back to the books if I get to know the characters from the show.

Today I finished reading "The Horse Dancer" by Jojo Moyes.

It took me over 5 hours to read in one sitting but was well worth the time. The story was engaging and enjoyable with lots of drama and action. It definitely was not a boring novel. And I'd read it again in a heartbeat.

I am now onto another novel, which is equally as enjoyable.
