Babies aren't part of our plan, so I started the pill back in October. I had been on them before when younger to try and regulate my periods. Anyway, being on the pill was great. Didn't have the anxieties of worrying about unwanted pregnancy.
I went to the ER mid July for a blood clot. Turns out it's from the pills, and its more common than women realize. So long story short, our condom-free bliss is already over... Now I'm dealing with "am I pregnant?" anxieties. The anxiety from the blood clot itself was awful. Took a couple weeks to be convinced I wasn't going to die!
I'm on blood thinners for a while of course. My last period was ten days with lots of heavy bleeding. Ughhh. Now it looks like I'll be going back to my irregular periods. (Or am I pregnant?) Ha, I have so much on my mind! And it's all so new to me.

Wow, I'm glad you are okay. Birth control pills can be pretty dangerous.
I do think there are IUDs you can get that have no hormones in it, or very minimal to the point where your chances for blood clots would be more rare. That might be something to look into.
I get the same anxiety about pregnancy; I'm always paranoid, even if I know it's like 99% impossible that I would be lol
Yeah, its one of those things you just don't think will happen to you. But, I have a higher risk factor with my maternal grandmother having had several episodes of blood clots. I may look into the IUD then at some point!
I just got married in February I saved myself for marriage and so did he, so it really has been an amazing experience so far.

Condoms are not so bad. I was perfectly happy to use them.
Not that I need them now of course.
pfffffffffft
We quite literally cried together over the new changes, but we've gotten used to them now. I told him why not make some fun out of it? So we splurged and bought a bunch of different kinds!

Yikes!
You might be the last American virgin.
That aside, you two sound very happy and loving.
Haha! Seriously. The world has changed! I hear so many say they aren't interested in marriage altogether. But sex is a free game for them. Not my style. Even if I was raised that way, I don't think it wouldve worked well for me with my anxiety and sensitivity issues I was programmed for monogamy hehe! And it truly did make marriage that much more special in the beginning. We had no idea what we doing. Haha
Though in my religious organization there are millions choosing the same lifestyle. (:

Thanks guys!! I never knew there was an IUD that wasn't hormone based. Makes me a little peeved because I tried asking my doctor about our options and he briskly said, "Yeah just condoms for you."
On another girly note, I was stressing about being pregnant but looks like I'm not lol. Period finally came and the blood thinners are just knocking me on my feet again. Do you ever wonder during a period how its possible we don't need a transfusion by the time its over?
