i like to read medium.com articles or play the Elevate app. also I'm trying to be nicer to myself re: doing what i want to do rather than what i feel i "ought" to.
I saw this today and thought it was a great way of explaining things..
A psychologist walked around a room while teaching stress management to an audience. As she raised a glass of water, everyone expected they'd be asked the "half empty or half full" question.
Instead, with a smile on her face, she inquired: "How heavy is this glass of water?"
Answers called out ranged from 8 oz. to 20 oz.
She replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute, it's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my arm. If I hold it for a day, my arm will feel numb and paralyzed. In each case, the weight of the glass doesn't change, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes."
She continued, "The stresses and worries in life are like that glass of water. Think about them for a while and nothing happens. Think about them a bit longer and they begin to hurt. And if you think about them all day long, you will feel paralyzed – incapable of doing anything." Remember to put the glass down. (Courtesy of Jimmy Harmon)

That can maybe work the other way round too? They are so inter-connected.
Definitely. I don't know if I'd have nearly as many mental health issues, or at least as often, if I didn't have my health issues... and then I know mental health can make my physical health worse. It's like an endless circle.

The mind and body are deeply connected: one affects the other. It is something many medical practitioners explore and study. It is a subject of much debate in the medical world.
I do know when I am happy, my body feels well. When I am miserable, my body deteriorates. They are interconnected. But good mental health helps people recover/cope in times of illness. This is why people on medication have other therapy. Medication alone does not heal the body: the healing has to also come from the mind. Obviously, though, if someone has cancer and says to themselves they are fine, that isn't correct. Plus, being in a good mood doesn't get rid of a headache. But those connections can be explored and used to help the body heal over time. But I'd advise a professional medical practitioner to advise on this topic.
It's probably true to say the more you have the more you worry when it starts going? At least when you are on the breadline you likely have a better idea of how to survive below it.
It's interesting to note though that some who crash from prosperity still manage to pick themselves up and make their money: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerald_Ratner
