Besides all that every time you turn around they raise their prices at their parks here. Walt wanted a place the family could go but now so many are priced out of it. It's really a shame. We used to have season tickets but gave them up a long tome ago.

NETFLIX, "A Man in Full" seemed promising at the start. That's all I can say.
As to "Dr. Who"...
The problem with the TV show “Dr. Who” is quite simple I think. Sacrificing story line for message ruins scifi. Dr. Who stinks because it switched from being a good scifi tale to one that is all about the woke agenda.
Now I know I likely haven’t had the same life experiences as the gay, queer and trans community so I try not to begrudge them having shows focused on the LGBTQ life. But attempting to shoehorn the LGBTQ stuff into every program, especially into scifi, is no longer innovative or ground-breaking, it's just an annoying distraction.
Disney apparently has decided that message is most important to their programming. Fine, I get it. I just stopped watching. A message can get stale just like an old joke.
We tried Baby Reindeer, I found it toe curling and embarressing, yes its awful for the man involed all stalking is scarey but I think from the word go it was obvious this woman had MH issues I find watching it really hard because you know its not the actions of a healthy mind and what she really needs is good MH help.

I've been watching new Dr Who lately, new Star Trek Discovery, some Babylon 5, first season of The Chosen while waiting for the fourth season, Royal Flying Doctor Service (season 2), and I also saw the latest season of Call the Midwife. And I found The Astronaut Wives Club on Disney, and really enjoyed it.
This past weekend, I watched both Dune movies back-to-back. No other kinda-marathons planned soon!
And in the theatre, I saw Unsung Hero recently and loved it!

We re-watched Dune 1, before watching 2 last week. Good movies.

That show (which i haven't finished) is so dark but it is based on a true story.
No spoiler, but the main character went through some THINGS prior to being stalked which is fully explored in the season and very messed up.
I have my own opinion on it but i'm going to keep quiet on it LOL

Those type of things put me off lots of programs. That's why much of my viewing is of perhaps someone bland things rather than high drama. I can then build up thoughts as I see them rather than being pushed into a corner. For me verbal assults seem part of life. I find it good to get away for a while.

This late afternoon I watched "The Devil Wears Prada" on DVD. A truly wonderful film. I like its special effects and its characters... Its whole charm appeals.

I’ve been watching some really old movies. One I liked was “On the Waterfront” starring Marlon Brando. It is a little reminiscent of “Rocky” at least the main male character anyway, both being under-dogs. It is in black and white of course but that hardly matters, better that way perhaps. Hollywood must have been quite a creative place, once upon a time.

It was better than Dune 1, but still not a patch on the books.
We watched Dune 2 now. It was good. I didn't fully remember what happened in the first one, though lol just pieces... but it didn't make watching the 2nd one an issue.
As for TV shows.. we're watching Keep Breathing. It's okay... IDK... lol I think we have one episode left. Not one that will be a memorable favorite type show for me.
I enjoyed most of the newest Doctor Who episode, but the end was disappointing. Most of the shows have been underwhelming so far this season. It happens, and could swing back up to "super awesome" next season, so I'm gonna be a loyal viewer for some time. I also own lots of newer Who, from the movie doctor onwards, so lots to watch when I want a Who fix!

Interestingly, I watched the latest episode of the "Famous Five" on BBC iplayer last night. My thoughts as I watched were that it had become a little less like The Famous Five and perhaps more like a better version of Doctor Who. The plot was a bit surreal in places and was without much of the intrusive political correctness that they seem to think is essential in Doctor Who. You might want to give it a watch, if it is available to you (and are not scared of clowns ).
The Chosen is back today! Woo hoo! Not sure if I'm watching as soon as it's released (4 pm my time) or waiting till kiddos are in bed. I'm leaning toward us all watching together and then making our supper... We have the first three seasons on DVD, so I'll see if my parents want to try it. Season 4 is the latest, and we'll get to watch free from an app, but it does make sense to buy it later to go with the rest of the set!
I don't think I have another Sunday night show from PBS, but that was the usual for the year so far. First All Creatures Great & Small was new here, then Call the Midwife with Season 13. And I got to finish up RFDS Season 2 recently (which was a later show on Sunday nights usually). I watched it mostly from PVR and then I got the app working on my Roku TV to catch the finale.
