They add these ingredients (or so this is what I hear) so that they can keep customers coming back for more. Their chemicals are supposed to have some kind of addictive quality to them.

But I don't want to click on that. My son had McDonalds earlier and I am scared now...

ok so it says 'customers (UK) can ask for fries without salt, well ehenever i go to mcdonalds the fries are never fresh, as soon as they are cooked they are put in the keep warm thing, loads of salt added and they stay there till they are all gone, i doubt mcdonalds are going to fry up some fresh fries just for 1 non salt customers when there are 10 customers behind them -_-

I used to work at McDonald's and if a customer wants no salt, we cook them up a fresh batch and while they are waiting we served other customers. This is in Canada, and this type of customer service is pretty straight across the board for stuff like that. I don't know what it is like in the UK.
