I had 2 sick kids here yesterday, but they're feeling better today and relaxing. Whew!
I've started the laundry and paid one of the annual insurance bills (renter's insurance this time, with car insurance to come in a couple weeks). Also did a few more money-related tasks, and I'm just waiting till Wednesday to pay off the card I used for the Prime Day deals. (I usually don't use credit anymore, but it seemed smarter this time than having so many small amounts coming right from the debit card.)
I was also supposed to get in touch with the TV provider for new equipment, but the chat and phone queues were too long for my taste. I'll try again tomorrow! A new PVR sounds like a good idea, though. (We recently got a newer modem when it was time to renew our internet package. The other was so old we can just recycle rather than return!)
I always avoided credit cards when money was tight. The interest rate just freaks me out.
Yesterday we had a good meeting at the Monday art group I sometimes go to. I was lucky it didnt rain too as I was not home to bring in the washing I put out earlier. It dried well.

Kids doing much better today. I've tidied up a little here and there, and attached the new seal to the sliding door, for our AC setup on the main floor. Looking good!
We've been clearing off the PVR the past two days. At first that was just to prepare space for Olympic coverage later this week, but now our new one is on its way and there won't be any recordings transferred from the old one. It'll be fun setting up new equipment!
I did have a busy day yesterday. I first visited my auntie, who is recovering from a fall she had while recovering from a broken hip. She was far more cheerful and mobile than I expected so that was good.
Next I visited a supermarket for my mid week grocery topup. I got most things there but I wanted some emery boards for what I was doing in art group (painting on cast plaster which needed precision sanding) and didn't have time to look for mine at home before I left so needed to visit yest another larger supermarket to get some.
Finally I got to art group, surprisngly on time, and had a lovely couple of hours there. Now, probably as schools have broke up, traffic wasn't so bad either and a road that has been closed recently, pushing me to divert a few miles, is now open again.

For precision sanding on plaster casts, emery cloth is best.

Yes, I have some at home but didn't have time to sort. I used a bit on a repair I did to the casting but that was larger area. I will show it at some point but it is a coloured (my colourscheme) reproduction of an ancient Persian Frieze as painted cast plaster in a frame.
Yesterday I think I was struck down by some bug or something. I felt really drained but went out for a short walk. When I got to the furthest distance from home I felt really tired and dizzy, almost falling at points. I walked back home slower then usual. I did get to chatting with a shopkeeper on the way back and she took my mind off things. In the afternoon I took it easy.
Luckily today I feel somewhat better but will not be rushing around.

I'm sorry to hear this. But I am glad you're feeling better now. You're right though to not rush around today. You've got to rest and let your body heal itself, whatever is wrong with you.
I have had my daily shower. I also rinsed my body with cold water. I am also airing out my apartment and have on a long load of laundry. I am listening to the radio, too.

I ended up spending £90. It was worth it, though: I got lots of food and fizzy water.
I write about fizzy water because I often mix it with orange squash and add ice cubes. An utterly delicious drink. I do also mix fizzy with blackcurrant squash. Equally as delicious in this hot weather.
