I actually do have a VHS player. It doesn't get any use however.
Ours could use a replacement remote. I was thinking about checking on eBay, since we don't use that machine much, especially since I'm only keeping a few VHS tapes around. The picture quality will just make me want to grab the DVD of whatever the show happens to be!

I'm sure you won't have any trouble finding a remote. I have picked up a couple for old electronics.

Remotes are usually easy unless you have something really old. I got one of those 'One for All' remotes for our last TV when the original started to fail. It's one of those that controls everything. I found that it did control our DVD player as well as the TV. Now the old TV has gone and we have the new one, I found that the remote controls that OK too. They need setting up but it's easy and most functionality is supported.
Another point is that they can be cheaper than a replacement original remote too.
OH and I finished watching the entire series of Unforgotten.( BBC) in case anyone hasn't watched it I won't give away the plot. But what I can tell you is watch to the end of season 5 and leave it there. That was the best ending for this show.
Not to everyone's taste but I did come across a documentary about the Vulcan bomber raid on the runway of Port Stanley during the Falklands war last night. It was interesting for me as I know the Vulcan from when I was little and I used to live close to Waddington where the raid aircraft flew from. I knew the local places which were mentioned. It was interesting as I didn't realise how complicated it was to organise. From memory, I do think they missed a few things out though, airbrushing the detail a bit.

I watched a Roy Orbison music special last night on PBS. Might consider seeing if I can buy the entire show (which was done for HBO in 1987) because PBS was interrupting for fundraising spiels and they tend to shorten the specials for that purpose, but also so they can try to sell you the full show... Oy.

Is that the one with all the supporting stars?
If so there is plenty on youtube. He had the voice of an angel, though I didn't always like what he sang.
Eliza Dushku stars in Dollhouse. She also starred in "Tru Calling" and "Buffy The Vampire Slayer". She has starred in films like "The Alphabet Killer" and "Soul Survivors" and also "Wrong Turn".
Eliza is really good in "Tru Calling": she makes her character so realistic. Plus, she hasn't been hit with the ugly stick. She looks smouldering and exotic.
