Last night I felt like more special features from The Two Towers extended edition set. I finished a disc and realised there's one more if I want to wrap that up before watching The Return of the King (which we recently finished reading). I like that they called these features their appendices, similar to what Tolkien did with Return of the King.
I might be overdoing it on special features, but it seems reasonable to watch since I paid for all of that content along with the movies. (I'm also working my way through the special features of Picard Season 3. I'm crazy for making-of and behind-the-scenes content, apparently!)
The added features are not for me, But I get that others like them.

Finished Dollhouse.. the ending was.. interesting lol they did have to end after 2 seasons when they had planned on it being longer, so it was good enough for what they could do.
We are watching Black Spot. The voice actors are terrible, as usual with most dubbed shows. When you want to be serious about the show, must switch it to the original with captions, but they do speak very quickly, and you may not have time to both read and look at the scene, so you have to have some type of trade-off no matter which route you go
I'm not entirely sure what it's about yet (ie: what the 'phenomena' is as mentioned in the plot, not the crime parts of course), and it's another show that was cancelled prematurely.. and I think I heard it has no ending?? So may never find out It is good so far.

NETFLIX "Manhatten" turns out to be a fictionalized account of the development of the atomic bomb during the latter part of WWII.
My question, why fictionalize it?
I had to stop watching it because it became such a silly soap opera. Some acting was quite good.
I took it that the title came from the name used for the development of the bomb in the war - "The Manhatten Project".
I don't know about over there in the US but over here many documents from the secret war still appear to be classifed so an account which is not fictionalised may well be no account at all. Also, with the current moves toward equality etc the trend is perhaps against any open negativity. A smoothed approach to the facts of the harsh reality of the time?
Maybe, in reality too, the actual facts were just hard work and long hours. Not really watchable drama.

I am very much in two minds over that bomb actually being dropped. But I am in no doubt that the second should not have been used. That was immoral.

Just after I posted yesterday I looked it up and found the difference between the two bombs. The first had a really unsafe type of fuse which was usually set when the aircraft was in the air. The potential for accidental triggering, even if the aircraft crashed, was great. The had lots of atomic weapons with a similar fuse during the cold war, probably on all sides. We seem to be very lucky one was not accidently triggered. The things which don't come out!
